Neke ranije studije bavile su se djelovanjem joge na ravnote\u017eu starijih \u017eena, ali su pri tom kori\u0161tene relativno zahtjevne vje\u017ebe, koje nisu ba\u0161 idealne za starije osobe. Dr Song i njegova kolegica Marian Garfinkel, koja ima zvanje instruktora joge, su ovog puta, u suradnji sa B.K.S. Ijengarom, tvorcem \u201eIjengar joge\u201d, osmislili program vje\u017ebi naro\u010dito namijenjen starijim osobama. Radi se o osnovnim joga pozama, o tome da se nau\u010di kako da se stoji uspravno, savije unaprijed, nagne u stranu.<\/h3>\n<p>U studiji su u\u010destvovale 24 \u017eene, starosti od 65 i vi\u0161e godina, koje su dva puta nedjeljno prakticirale ove vje\u017ebe tokom jednog i po sata, uz postepeno poja\u010davanje njihovog intenziteta. Po okon\u010danom programu, te \u017eene su br\u017ee hodale, imale du\u017ei korak i du\u017ee mogle da se odr\u017ee na jednoj nozi.
