Ispitanici su bili podijeljeni u dvije grupe. Jedna je grupa smanjila unos soli za 25 do 35 % dok je kontrolna grupa nastavila sa uobi\u010dajenim unosom soli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rezultati su pokazali da su ispitanici koji su smanjili unos soli imali 25 % manji rizik od obolijevanja od krvo\u017eilnih bolesti kroz period od 10 do 15 godina nakon \u0161to je zavr\u0161eno istra\u017eivanje. Tako\u0111er, pojava smrtnosti je smanjena za 20 % u grupi koja je smanjila unos soli.
