Od njihovih se hrskavih listova mogu pripremiti razli\u010diti mali obroci i predjela te prilozi mnogim jelima, posebno mesu i ribama. Salate sadr\u017ee mnoge hranjive tvari, posebno vitamine i minerale, izuzetno su zdrave i okrepljuju\u0107e, pa ne iznena\u0111uje \u010dinjenica da su i ljekovite!<\/h3>\n<h3>Vrtna salata<\/h3>\n<p>Naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e \u0107emo na tanjuru na\u0107i ono \u0161to nazivamo jednostavno vrtnom salatom (Lactuca sativa). Vrtna salata najpoznatija je vrsta roda Lactuca koji broji preko sto vrsta raznih salata ali sve imaju ne\u0161to zajedni\u010dko: mlije\u010dni sok blago narkoti\u010dkog djelovanja, koji je najaktivniji dio biljke. Vrtna salata sadr\u017ei 95% vode, dok su ostalo vitamini i minerali. <strong>Od minerala salata sadr\u017ei najvi\u0161e kalija, kalcija i natrija<\/strong>. Kalij je koristan za \u017eivce, bubrege i srce, te ja\u010da imunolo\u0161ki sustav.<\/p>\n<p>Kalcij je izvrstan za kosti, mi\u0161i\u0107e, \u017eivce i zgru\u0161avanje krvi te kao protuupalni element. Natrij regulira vodu u organizmu, \u010diji poreme\u0107aj \u010desto vodi do poreme\u0107aja krvnog tlaka i stvaranja solne kiseline u \u017eelucu. Osim minerala sadr\u017ei i brojne vitamine: najvi\u0161e vitamina C, vitamin E koji je sna\u017ean prirodni antioksidant i \u0161titi stanice tijela od o\u0161te\u0107enja i kancerogenih u\u010dinaka, vitamine A i B2 koji su korisni za o\u010di, ko\u017eu, sluznicu i spolne \u017elijezde, a nazivaju se i \u2019vitaminima ljepote&#8217;. Uz to sadr\u017ei folnu kiselinu, vitamine B1 i B6, fosfor, \u017eeljezo, magnezij, bakar, mangan i cink, elemente koji su neophodni za dobro funkcioniranje mi\u0161i\u0107nog tonusa i zdravlja ko\u017ee. Razne vrste zelenih salata crvenih listova bogate su i beta karotenom ali i malim koli\u010dinama gorkih tvari koje osim klasi\u010dnoga dobrog djelovanja na probavu utje\u010du i na rad jetre te na izlu\u010divanje \u017eu\u010di. 100 grama salate sadr\u017ei samo 23 kalorije pa je mo\u017eete u\u017eivati u velikim koli\u010dinama.<\/p>\n<h3>Usporava starenje<\/h3>\n<p>Sveobuhvatno umiruju\u0107e djelovanje salate ide toliko daleko da lagano smanjuje libido ali i poti\u010de proizvodnju serotonina kod depresivnih osoba, te usporava starenje. Kad je netko u gr\u010du, astmi, hripavcu, kroni\u010dnoj tjeskobi ili histeriji, stavite pred njega veliku zdjelu salate svaki dan i malo po malo ta \u2018obi\u010dna&#8217; biljka u\u010dinit \u0107e neobi\u010dne stvari. Tako\u0111er, ako ste pod stresom, nervozni, iscrpljeni, neispavani ili pretili, probajte pojesti 1-1,5 kg zelene salate na dan &#8211; iznenadit \u0107ete se kako \u0107e vas opustiti i pri tom dotjerati va\u0161u liniju!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mlije\u010dni sok iz salate sadr\u017ei najvrjedniji sastojak salate tzv. laktukarij<\/strong>. Najvi\u0161e ga ima u korijenu, lisnim rebrima, mladim stabljikama i sr\u010diki salate, dakle u onim svjetlijim ili bijelim dijelovima. Taj ne\u0161kodljivi sastojak djeluje kao blagi opijum i upravo je on zaslu\u017ean za to \u0161to se znanstveno dokazano zna da je salata i ljekovita biljka koja ubla\u017euje bol, smiruje \u017eivce i djeluje uspavljuju\u0107e. Jo\u0161 su stari Rimljani koristili laktukarij kao losion protiv opeklina sunca, a listove salate stavljali su na gnojne rane. I gr\u010dki povjesni\u010dar Herodot (oko 400. pr. K.) nazvan \u2019Ocem povijesti\u2019, spominjao je laktukarij kao lijek.
